Hot Dogs!

Have you guys seen the wolf pack that they cast for New Moon yet? My only objection is that Jacobs not in this particular pic. Weird because I'm essentially Team Cullen. That is if I was to be forced to pick a team, because I do feel bad for Jake, and I think that Seth ROCKs,but Edward is pretty amazing and Emmetts my homeboy, soo........ lol! ;)
My mom saw this pic and was telling me that I had to go on and look, because it was pretty good! And I though, wow, has my mom finally lost it? Because she was telling me this in the hospital which was one of the few times recentley that I wasn't thinking about Twilight. But, anyway, I went on and looked it up and...well...there's not really words. So here...see for yourself. Let me know what you think, k? P.S. Notice how they all have the same tattoo? Hmmm....

You've Gotta Learn to Dance in the Rain!

O.K. So I owe you all a very long and detailed update on this past week. So...Here goes.
I would like to open on this note that will sort of be the theme of this post. "Life's not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." I have no idea who said it, but it's true, and it's something that I've been working on this past week.
As some of you know, my dad went into the hospital not this past Sunday night, but the one before. He was on some medication for Bell's Palsey, and so when his stomach started getting sick we asumed it was a reaction to the medication. He called his Dad who came and gave him ablessing and than he went in to the Emergency Care center. They said that they thought it was appendicits?, and that he needed to go to the ER. He went in and they confirmed that it was his appendix, and told him that it would abou 45 minutes until they could remove it. Not even three minutes later there was a doctor explainin to my parents that it wasn't his appendix, that actually his colon had ruptered and they need to do surgerey right away. 10 minutes later he was on an opperating table. I stayed at home with the kids all night, and than my mom came to explain everythin the next morning. He just got discharged yesterday and is doing very well.

We kids split up and went to different family's homes for 5 days so that my mom could be at the hospital with my dad. Samantha went with my mom's family, Derik went to my dad's fathers house, and Maren and I went to spend some time with my dad's sisters family.
We had a wonderful time despite the circumstances, and that's when I started to learn to "dance in the rain."

We spent time with our Aunt Katie and Uncle Jack, and their children Rebecca 7, Miriam 5, and Joseph almost 2. We wnet to the park, the museum, and Casa Bonita (the most amazingly FUN restraunt ever!). And I got to go and spend some time with the Young Womens group of the Fort Lupton ward. I don't want to bore anyone by giving you every single detail, but here are some pictures. I just want to say though, that whenever it seems like lifes starting to flood you out, and you'll never see the sun again, start to dance and smile and sing and Laugh, and LOVE! Even if you are doing it through tears.

Miriam, Maren, and Rebecca being silly!

Joseph. I guess I suprised him!
Maren taking pictures of herself. :)

Maren, Rebecca, and Miriam's legs.
Maren painted her face "Twilight colors". I'll have you know that I did not say that she should do so! I've created a monster! But a cute one!

Me with each Joseph, Miriam, and Rebecca.

Now here's a few of us at Casa Bonita!
All in all it was a fantastic trip!
P.S. I love reading your comments!

Steppin' Out! Cullen Style!

I had Brianna over on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On Friday she dressed me all up and than we went to the mall to meet my friend Amy who I haven't seen in, like, 2 years. And than we went to a party and played games and watched movies. It was so much fun! Our joke was that she was Alice and I was Rosalie. From Twilight, just in case you haven't noticed how obsessed I am. lol. Here are a few of my favorites.

NRA Banquet

I worked the National Riflemans Association Banquet Saturday night. They told me to wear the very best, most formal thing I had. So I did. And I spent two hours on my hair. I have NEVER spent that long on getting ready for ANYTHING before. Here is the finished product of much labor. (Pardon the mess behind me. It was a VERY long day.)

I was worried about being over dressed because essentially all the NRA is, is rich rednecks who like to shoot. I was sure it would be better to show up in some jeans and a camo jacket. Turns out I was right. That is if I had been a guest, who were wearing...jeans, camo, and cowboy hats! But as an official NRA girl, my job was to look pretty and get the boys to spend hundreds of dollars on raffle tickets. Which, suprisingly, worked. But it was helped in large part by the fact that the honorable Boy Scouts of America showed up halfway through. With money.

But that's not all that I did. I also walke dthe floor, answering questions, and I helped out with The Card Games. The first card game the cards were 10 dollars a card. Everyone who wanted a card raised their hand and the NRA girls walked around distributing the cards. THE gave us 10 bucks, picked their card, than ripped it in half. They kept a half, I kept a half. All the NRA girls brought up the half cards and money they collected and turned it in. The half a cards we had sold were randomly drawn and the winning card won the prize. (A pink Cricket. For those who don't know, a crickets a gun. We don't raffle insects.) Than we did it again with 20 dollar cards and a more expinsive gun. It seems simple right? Well it's not. Because all of a sudden you have to help 500 people at once, literally. Just about every hane and the room shot up and we only had one deck of cards between the 4 of us. It was insane!!

I also helped handle th elive auction, wich was insane because we were supposed to have the wiining bidder on each item sign a reciet, but we could barely keep track of the people bidding! Luckily the auctioneer was really nice and helped a lot!

We were in the Convetion center just behind the Mariott. It was beauitiful, and also very expinsive. I know because I priced it for Homecoming. The dinner was amazing and while the roast beef might have been the best thing I've ever eaten, I'm sure it was also th emost expinsive chunk of cow that I've ever been within 100 miles of. And there was a waitress who looked so much like Stephenie Meyer, I almost asked if I was being Punked. But, unfortunatley for me, Ashton Kutcher was no where to be found. All in all it was one of the most exciting nights of my life. (Is that sad?) I signed up for next year, so if anyone knows where to get an VERY flashy, formal, affordable, and modest dress, please let me know. I got there at about 4, after walking through Staples in my Million Bucks outfit. And we left about 11:45. Then we hit up a McDonalds, all the Wendy's had closed 5 minutes early...and we got shamrock shakes and fries. If you've never had a Shamrock Shake, go to McDonalds and get one.

Well that's about all....Don't forget to comment, I love hearing from you, and have a fabulous day!

In Memoriam

I am dedicating this post to my favorite, much worn jeans. They have just recently died a very tragic death, and in this way I am insuring that their memory will live on for ever.
The cause of death was not in fact either of the gaping holes in the knees, nor the rip at the bottom of the left leg. It wasn't even the fray on the inside of the right thigh where it was wearing away from rubbing the saddle too much. No. The culprit was the GIANT slit near the back, right pocket. Here are some photos of the deceased. If you have a weak stomach, you might want to look away.
For some "Happy Memory" photos of my jeans you can see a recent post entiteled Disneyland!!!. They are the jeans that I'm wearing in the first two pics of me in that post.
Okay I have to laugh now! lol. :) But I'm still very sad. If anyone knows where I can find another pair, please let me know! They were size 5 (in juniors), lowrise, Mossimo's.

Okay Kate...Ashlee...Seriously! How true is this?! haha

Ranch Sauce... ;)

Kate...Ash...I'm so lucky I have 2 of you!
